Newport Harbor proposes hotel and event space to enhance marina operations

Newport's Planning Board has taken significant steps towards enhancing the Waites Wharf area, as discussed in a special meeting on May 15, 2025. The proposed development aims to introduce a hotel, an upgraded restaurant, and formal event spaces, which are expected to streamline operations and reduce traffic congestion associated with large events.
