New e-services system streamlines building permit application process

The City of Delray Beach, Florida, has introduced a new eServices system aimed at streamlining the building permit application process. During a recent government meeting, officials highlighted the system's features, which allow users to submit applications, track their progress, and receive important notifications.

To initiate a building permit application, users can simply click the "apply" button located at the top of the eServices page. The system includes a search function to help users find specific applications easily. Additionally, applications are categorized into sections such as business tax receipts, building permits, and planning and zoning, making navigation straightforward.

The application process requires users to select a location and input necessary information, including details about the contractor and site owner. Users can also save frequently used contacts under a "my favorites" tab for quicker access in future applications.

Once the required information is entered, applicants must attach necessary documents and provide a signature, which can be drawn or typed into the system. After reviewing the application, users can submit it directly through the platform.

This new eServices system is expected to enhance efficiency and transparency in the building permit process, making it easier for residents and contractors in Delray Beach to manage their applications.
