Plano City Council presents Hall Park master plan and improvement opportunities

The Hall Park Master Plan is set to transform a once-private property into a vibrant public park, as revealed in a recent presentation by Architects Design Group and Friese and Nichols. Located at 1329 West Park Boulevard in Plano, Texas, the site has been vacant since the city acquired it in 2010, transitioning from a private residence and pasture to a future community hub.

The presentation highlighted the park's unique features, including open and shaded pasture areas, a drainage channel lined with mature trees, and proximity to the Chisholm Trail. However, it also identified challenges such as minor flooding, erosive conditions, and existing structures that will need to be removed.

Key opportunities for development include creating a centrally located gathering space, enhancing trail connections to nearby neighborhoods, and integrating various recreational facilities.
