Tomball Independent School District approves bond election results for 2025 projects

The Tomball Independent School District (TISD) held a special board meeting on May 14, 2025, to officially canvass the results of the recent bond election held on May 3. The meeting, led by President Dr. Pratt, included key presentations from Chief Financial Officer Zach Bowles, who outlined the election results and facilitated the canvassing process.

Bowles reported the final results of the bond election, detailing the votes for four propositions. Proposition A received 2,440 votes in favor and 1,412 against; Proposition B garnered 2,461 votes for and 1,389 against; Proposition C had 2,157 votes for and 1,690 against; and Proposition D received 2,117 votes in favor and 1,728 against. The board was tasked with adopting a canvassing order to officially tabulate these results.

During the meeting, board members were given the opportunity to examine the precinct returns or waive that examination. Bowles confirmed that there were no reported concerns or abnormalities from the Harris County and Montgomery County election officials regarding the conduct of the election, emphasizing that TISD partnered with these counties to facilitate the voting process.

Following the presentation, a motion was made to canvass the results and declare the election outcomes. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously, marking the official adoption of the election results. The board expressed readiness to move forward with the initiatives outlined in the bond proposals.
