Roosevelt High celebrates Class of 2025 with scholarships and CTE achievements

The St. Louis Public Schools graduation ceremony for Roosevelt High School on May 17, 2025, celebrated the achievements of the Class of 2025, highlighting academic excellence and scholarship awards. The event recognized students for their outstanding GPAs, with several individuals receiving awards for maintaining a GPA of 4.0 and above.

Among the notable achievements, the graduating class collectively earned over $967,800 in scholarship money. Individual highlights included Rain Clark, who received a scholarship of $119,000 to attend Washington University, and Tamaya Glover, who was awarded $32,000 for the University of Missouri, St. Louis. Other students, such as Isaiah Thomas and Kavion Milton, also received significant scholarship offers, showcasing the academic prowess of the class.

The ceremony also featured recognition of students from the Career and Technical Education (CTE) department, who demonstrated exceptional commitment and professionalism through internships and certification achievements. Students who completed industry-recognized certifications were acknowledged, emphasizing the importance of practical experience in their education.

The event concluded with a charge from salutatorian Samaya Glover, who expressed pride in the accomplishments of her peers and the journey ahead. The ceremony not only celebrated academic success but also fostered a sense of community and support among students, families, and faculty, marking a significant milestone in the lives of the graduates.
