Fairfield plans summer events including reunion dinner and music festival

The School of Rock will also showcase local youth talent at a wedding party on the same day, while the Fairfield Museum prepares for its "Make Music Fairfield" performance on June 21, scheduled from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

Throughout the discussions, officials noted that noise variances for these events have not posed any significant issues in the past. "We never seem to have an issue," one council member remarked, emphasizing the cooperative spirit between event organizers and local law enforcement. Officers are routinely dispatched to ensure compliance with noise regulations, fostering a sense of community trust and collaboration.

The council also addressed the need for police presence at larger gatherings, clarifying that while there is no strict limit on attendance requiring police, public safety remains a priority. "We can implement law enforcement if it's a sporting event that is open to the public," one member explained, indicating a proactive approach to crowd management.
