Mayor Morris and Councilman Rosario acknowledged the collaborative efforts of city staff in preparing the general fund budget, which is set to be presented to the council for full consideration soon. This budget aims to enhance public safety and support various community needs, reflecting the city's commitment to growth and investment in essential services.

The council also celebrated Delano's 110th anniversary of incorporation, marking a century of progress and community development. Events such as the Cinco de Mayo parade, which returned after a six-year hiatus, were praised for fostering cultural pride and community engagement.
