Teachers nominate exceptional students for Mustang of the Month awards

The Dallas Center-Grimes Community School District held a meeting on May 19, 2025, to recognize outstanding students at DCG Middle School as part of the Mustang of the Month program. Several teachers nominated students who exemplified exceptional character, leadership, and dedication to their studies.

Asher was nominated by Miss Sojo for his remarkable progress in learning and communication skills. His enthusiasm for activities like gym class and jumping on the trampoline highlights his joyful spirit.

Nolan Townsend received a nomination from Mrs. Cochran for consistently demonstrating strong leadership and kindness. His respectful demeanor and commitment to fostering a positive classroom environment were noted as key attributes.

Miss Clark nominated Kaylin, praising her confidence, kindness, and hard work. Kaylin's positive attitude and willingness to assist her classmates make her a role model in the classroom.

Bradley Statler was recognized by Mrs. Christiansen for his dedication to learning and his friendly nature. His active participation and attentiveness in class set a strong example for his peers.

Henry, nominated by Mrs. Nielsen, was acknowledged for his hard work and respect towards others. His willingness to help classmates and active engagement in class discussions were highlighted as commendable traits.

Ben Ihm was nominated by Mrs. Guernsey for his outstanding attitude and leadership qualities. His enthusiasm for learning and respectful treatment of others contribute to a positive classroom atmosphere.

Finally, Parker Carruthers was recognized by Donna Gladfelter for her growth in confidence and her supportive nature. Her perseverance in tackling challenges has made a significant impact on her learning journey.
