Hillsborough RoboRaiders win Gracious Professionalism Award at Houston championships

The Hillsborough Township Committee meeting on April 22, 2025, highlighted the impressive achievements of the Hillsborough High School robotics team, the RoboRaiders, who recently competed in the world championships in Houston. Committee members Lipani and Hand joined a tour of the RoboRaiders' warehouse, where they observed the team's preparations for the prestigious event.

During the visit, the committee members expressed their admiration for the dedication and skills demonstrated by the various divisions of the team, including business, technical outreach, and coordination. A standout moment was the presentation by the STEM Ascend group, which focuses on engaging underprivileged students in science and technology.

At the world championships, the RoboRaiders team 75 received the Gracious Professionalism Award. This honor recognizes the team's commitment to respecting individuals in their community and striving for excellence in their work. The award is a testament to the valuable lifelong skills the students are gaining through their involvement in robotics, extending beyond just building robots.
