Board approves survey for new career tech center at Jeff State Community College

A proposal to conduct a survey for new career tech sites in Chilton County took center stage at the Chilton County Board Meeting on May 19, 2025. Currently, many employees top out on their pay scales after 15 to 17 years without further raises. Board members expressed the need for a comprehensive review of salary structures, including potential adjustments for principals and maintenance workers, to ensure fair compensation across the board.
