Aspire at Temoosa honors Miss Vargas and Miss Morgan for educational excellence

Edgewood ISD celebrated outstanding educators and students during its recent board meeting, highlighting the district's commitment to fostering a college-going culture. Each month, Aspire at Temoosa and Community First Health Plan recognize a teacher who excels in this mission. This month, Miss Vargas was honored for her exceptional efforts, receiving a $1,000 grant for her classroom, while her students were awarded certificates acknowledging their participation in a winning classroom environment.

In addition to recognizing Miss Vargas, the board also celebrated Miss Brielle Morgan from the Edgewood Fine Arts Academy, who was named the district's Teacher of the Year. This prestigious award was announced during the annual Night of Stars Banquet, held at the San Antonio Food Bank, where Miss Morgan was surprised with the recognition.

The meeting underscored the district's dedication to both educators and students, reinforcing the importance of nurturing talent and promoting academic excellence within the community.
