Commissioner Bradford supports $1.5M expansion of weekly Tennessee Tuesday at Memphis Zoo

During the recent Shelby County FY2026 Budget Subcommittee Meeting, a significant proposal emerged that could enhance community access to the Memphis Zoo. The discussion centered around a request for $1.5 million to expand the popular "Tennessee Tuesday" program, which currently allows free admission to the zoo from 2 PM to 5 PM.

Currently, the limited hours restrict access for many families, but the proposed funding would enable the zoo to offer free admission all day, from opening until closing, every Tuesday.
