Tiburon Parks Commission initiates in-depth community engagement for Lineal Park improvements

Tiburon Town Council is taking significant steps to enhance its parks following a comprehensive two-year community engagement process. The council received a set of guidelines and recommendations aimed at improving local parks, developed from extensive public input, including surveys, workshops, and community meetings.

The recommendations, which reflect thousands of public comments, were presented to the council, but further action is needed to translate these ideas into tangible improvements. To facilitate this, the Parks, Open Space and Trails Commission has established subcommittees for deeper community engagement. One such subcommittee, led by council members Mike Moon and another member participating via Zoom, is focusing on Lineal Park—a key area in Tiburon's park system that offers stunning views of the bay.

Lineal Park, which stretches from the Black East Pasture parking lot to the newly acquired McHenry Green and sanitation ponds, is considered a vital asset to the community. The subcommittee aims to gather more detailed feedback from local residents to ensure that the park's enhancements align with their desires and needs.

This initiative marks a proactive approach by the Tiburon Town Council to not only preserve but also enrich the community's green spaces, ensuring they serve the public effectively.
