Planning Commission approves Grove Commons and Valley Grove Business Park subdivisions

Pleasant Grove City Planning Commission has taken significant steps towards expanding commercial development in the area, approving a preliminary subdivision plat and multiple commercial site plans during their recent meeting on May 22, 2025.

The commission unanimously approved the request from William Shoop for a two-lot preliminary subdivision plat named Grove Commons Subdivision Plat D, located at approximately 1809 West State Street in the Grove Commercial Sales Sub District. This decision is expected to pave the way for further development in the area, contingent upon meeting all final planning, engineering, and fire department requirements.

In addition to this approval, the commission also addressed several requests from Saint John's Properties. They held a public hearing for a four-lot preliminary commercial subdivision plat called Valley Grove Business Park Plat R, which spans 5.185 acres at approximately 1135 South Valley Grove Way. The commission also reviewed three separate commercial site plans for retail buildings, designated as Building P, Building Q, and Building R, located at various addresses within the Grove Interchange Subdistrict.

These developments signal a proactive approach by the Pleasant Grove City Planning Commission to enhance local business opportunities and infrastructure.
