Sheriff's Office requests $200K for vehicle upgrades and new mobile command center

The discussion also touched on the acquisition of new vehicles, with the department successfully securing two new Durangos and an F-150 pickup truck in the previous budget cycle. In addition to vehicle needs, the workshop addressed the request for a new mobile command center, estimated at $100,000. This unit would serve as an operations center during large-scale events and emergencies. The existing command center, which has been in use since 2005, has required extensive repairs and is no longer deemed reliable.
