SHS Class of 2025 sets records in scholarships and achievements

The Class of 2025 at Savannah High School (SHS) celebrated a remarkable graduation ceremony on May 23, 2025, marking a significant milestone not only for the students but also for the entire community. This year's graduates have set new records, showcasing their exceptional achievements and readiness to make an impact in various fields.

During the ceremony, it was highlighted that the Class of 2025 collectively earned over $1.1 million in scholarships, a testament to their hard work and ambition. The graduates demonstrated their industry readiness by passing 37 End-of-Pathway Assessments (EOPAs) in diverse areas such as culinary arts, cosmetology, business, law, nail care, and entrepreneurship. Notably, some students completed two pathways, showcasing their exceptional commitment to their education.

The academic accomplishments of this class are equally impressive. They achieved the highest SAT scores at SHS in the past five years and produced the most hope-eligible students and honor graduates in half a decade. Their success in career and technical education was underscored by their mastery of skills in fields ranging from welding to cybersecurity, proving the effectiveness of hands-on education.

In addition to academic and career achievements, the Class of 2025 also made history in athletics. The SHS basketball team secured the record for the most state championships won in Georgia, embodying the spirit of unity and determination that the school fosters.
