The Development, Planning & Sustainability Committee of Cleveland City Council convened on May 20, 2025, to discuss a significant housing project that promises to enhance the community's living options. The Shoreway Tower project, an expansion of an existing residential building, aims to add 110 new units to the neighborhood, bringing the total to 161 residences.
Originally converted from an old warehouse into 45 residences in 2014, the existing building has been well-received by the community, fostering a stable environment for long-term residents. The new 13-story addition will not only increase housing availability but also include updates to the current structure, creating a cohesive living space that shares amenities and property management.

In addition to residential units, the development will incorporate approximately 4,000 square feet of retail space, revitalizing the existing Good Company restaurant area.
Parking is also a priority, with plans for 169 indoor structured parking spaces, ensuring that residents have adequate access to vehicles. Furthermore, the project will include a public art gallery, enhancing community engagement and cultural offerings.
This initiative reflects the City Council's ongoing commitment to sustainable development and community improvement, addressing the growing need for diverse housing options in Cleveland. As the project progresses, it is expected to contribute positively to the local economy and enhance the quality of life for residents.
