National Merit Scholarship finalists Axel Blom, Erica Eggleton, Candace Aden Maloney, Chloe Slaughter, Lance Welch, and Mila Wertheimer were recognized for ranking in the top 0.5% of seniors nationwide. Additionally, students who completed the Distinguished Scholars Honors Program, which requires over 200 hours of community service and a significant individual project, were also honored.
The ceremony included tributes to students who have enlisted in the armed forces, emphasizing their commitment to national security. Graduates wearing honor stoles were recognized for their academic excellence, with distinctions for very high honors (GPA of 3.85 or higher), high honors (GPA of 3.65 to 3.849), and honors (GPA of 3.45 to 3.649). Students also received recognition cords for their participation in various clubs and organizations.
The event concluded with student speeches, beginning with honor student Bridal Maloney, who humorously engaged the audience while expressing gratitude to family, friends, and teachers for their support throughout high school.
