Joliet West honors Eli Pearson for first place in IHSA journalism advertising

Joliet West High School's journalism program shone brightly at the recent JTHS 204 Board Meeting, where the spotlight was on student Eli Pearson, who clinched first place in the state for advertising at the IHSA competition.

The activities director highlighted the hard work of journalism students, noting that their efforts extend beyond classroom learning to competitive achievements. This year, Joliet West and Joliet Central saw ten categories qualify for state, showcasing the talent and dedication of their students.

Eli Pearson's accomplishment marks the second consecutive year he has excelled at the state level, a testament to his skills and the support of his sponsor, Jengaloy, from the journalism program.
