Tabitha's Way Food Pantry celebrates 15 years with block party and No Hunger Pledge campaign

Tabitha's Way Local Food Pantry is gearing up for a major milestone, celebrating 15 years of service to families facing food insecurity in the community. The organization, which has evolved from a small grassroots initiative into a vital resource, is launching a month-long celebration throughout June, culminating in a block party on Wednesday, June 26, from 6 to 8 PM.

This family-friendly event will be open to all residents and will feature food, fun activities, and entertainment. A key highlight of the celebration is the "No Hunger Pledge" campaign, which aims to gather 1,500 pledges from local residents. Each pledge signifies a commitment to combat hunger through awareness, advocacy, and action.

In addition to collecting pledges, Tabitha's Way has set ambitious goals to address local hunger, including raising funds for 150,000 additional meals and collecting 1,500 pounds of food through community drives. The organization is inviting city leaders, employees, and the entire community to join in these efforts.

To enhance the celebration, Tabitha's Way is requesting support from the Springville City Council. They are seeking permission to place food drive bins at city offices and to promote the event through posters and banners in public spaces. The pantry expressed gratitude for the community's support over the past 15 years and looks forward to continuing its mission to fight food insecurity with the help of local leaders and residents.
