Carrollton residents are invited to participate in the inaugural BAPS Charities Walk in Frisco, set to take place on Sunday, June 1, at 5 PM in Kaleidoscope Park. This event marks a significant milestone after 22 years of organizing walks across North Texas, benefiting various local nonprofit organizations.
BAPS Charities, a respected nonprofit with over 50 years of experience in North America, focuses on critical areas such as health care, environmental sustainability, disaster relief, and community services. Each year, the organization mobilizes over 100,000 volunteers who contribute more than 12 million hours of service globally.
This year's walk will support the American Legion, the largest U.S. veteran organization, which advocates for over 1.6 million members who have served in the Armed Forces. The event aims to promote a healthier lifestyle while fostering community spirit and service.
Local officials, including the mayor and city council members, are encouraged to attend, as their presence would greatly enhance the event's impact. Participants are reminded that every step taken contributes to a greater cause, reinforcing the importance of community involvement.
