One significant point of discussion was the donation of 265 pairs of used eclipse glasses by students at Mabel Wilson School. These glasses will be shared with other countries for future eclipse viewings, showcasing the students' commitment to global sharing and environmental awareness.

The board also celebrated the success of student athletes at the Cumberland County Special Olympics Swim Meet, held on April 10. Congratulations were extended to participants Ellie, Beau, Royce, Ayla, Isaiah, and Avery, who collectively earned multiple medals, including three first-place finishes.

A key focus was the introduction of the CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) program at Greeley High School, which encourages students to engage in diverse experiences outside of academics. Students are required to complete a minimum of 20 CAS experiences, culminating in a project that combines at least two of the three components. This initiative aims to foster well-rounded development among students.

Additionally, the board acknowledged the formation of a new mental health club at Greeley High School, inspired by student Charlie Anania. Following a personal health crisis, Charlie, along with his peers, established the Kyle Cares Foundation chapter to provide support for students facing mental health challenges. The club has already made a positive impact, and a fundraising 5K event is scheduled for April 28 to further support mental health initiatives.
