Assistant Chief Rick Bass praised the collaborative efforts between law enforcement and the township, acknowledging the board's support in employing over 100 officers. He highlighted the importance of community awareness and proactive policing, particularly through traffic enforcement initiatives and the CRU's focus on organized retail theft and burglary prevention.

Bass also shared a recent success story involving a spike in burglaries, where the CRU identified and apprehended an organized burglary ring responsible for multiple thefts in the area. This operation led to a significant reduction in such incidents, showcasing the effectiveness of their strategies.
