Pulte Homes unveils Walnut Grove community with sustainable design features

Westminster's Planning Commission has approved significant improvements to the emergency vehicle access road serving the Walnut Grove neighborhood, enhancing safety and accessibility for residents. This decision, made during the May 27, 2025, meeting, is part of a broader initiative to upgrade infrastructure in the area.

The commission also discussed enhancements to the North Fork of Walnut Creek drainage channel, which will increase drainage capacity and support future expansions at the Ball Campus. These improvements are expected to benefit the entire community by reducing flooding risks and improving overall drainage efficiency.

In addition to infrastructure upgrades, the meeting highlighted the development of a new residential community by Pulte Homes at Walnut Grove. This flagship community will feature four unique floor plans and three distinct architectural styles, with homes designed to include modern amenities such as Energy Star appliances, tankless water heaters, and solar-ready infrastructure. Each home will also have alley access and two-car garages, catering to contemporary living needs.

Concerns regarding potential airport noise were addressed, with plans for homes to include SCC 25 rated noise-reducing windows to mitigate disturbances. The commission expressed confidence that the proposed development aligns with approval criteria and is compatible with existing public and private developments in the area.
