Kearney Volunteer Fire Department hosts badge pinning ceremony for new officers

Among those honored were Battalion Chief John Seto, who has served for 30 years, and newly elected Captains Kevin Royal and Mike Treadway, along with Lieutenants Lucas Fry and Dylan Davis. In addition to the fire department recognition, the meeting also included a farewell for Chief Hua, who is transitioning to a new role as police chief. The council expressed gratitude for his service and acknowledged the bittersweet nature of his departure.
