He noted that these homes on wheels provided essential shelter for individuals who otherwise would have been homeless. Denny urged local officials to consider establishing ordinances that would facilitate the use of alternative housing while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

The discussions also touched on the importance of creative solutions, such as composting toilets and gray water systems, to make alternative housing more affordable and sustainable.
