Residents seek support for animal permit in Botetourt's Lamontown area

A proposal to allow the keeping of various animals on a property in Botetourt County sparked significant discussion during the recent Board of Supervisors meeting. The property owners, who expressed their desire to have animals such as donkeys and goats, emphasized their commitment to being good neighbors and maintaining the rural character of the area.

The couple highlighted that their plans included provisions for other animals in their proffers, ensuring flexibility for future additions. They noted that their property is surrounded by other farms, making it a fitting location for such activities. "We want to continue living in Botetourt," one of the owners stated, expressing enthusiasm for their new home regardless of the meeting's outcome.
