Crow Wing County honors Teresa Norwood's 35 years of dedicated service

The Crow Wing County Board meeting held on May 27, 2025, featured a heartfelt recognition of retiring employee Therese Norwood, who has dedicated 35 years of service to the county. Board members and colleagues praised Norwood for her professionalism, commitment, and the personal connections she fostered throughout her career.

During the meeting, a board member highlighted Norwood's extensive contributions, noting that she prepared over 2,000 meeting agendas and compiled minutes from nearly 1,500 meetings. She worked alongside two county auditors, four county administrators, and 25 county commissioners, leaving a significant impact on all who had the privilege to work with her.

In her farewell speech, Norwood reflected on her journey, recalling her first day as a 19-year-old and the many changes she witnessed over the decades, including the advent of the internet and email. She expressed gratitude for her colleagues and the relationships she built, emphasizing the importance of personal connections in her work.

The board presented Norwood with a certificate of excellence in recognition of her outstanding service, acknowledging her as a steadfast presence and a guiding force within the organization. As she embarks on her retirement, the board and her colleagues wish her joy and adventure in this new chapter of her life.
