District progresses on Ralston High bond project ahead of schedule

The high school PE health interviews are set for the following day, and it is anticipated that these positions will be filled shortly. However, the search for a deaf and hard of hearing teacher remains challenging. To address this, the district is considering a current classroom teacher who holds the necessary endorsement to fill the role if suitable candidates are not found.

Following the staffing updates, the board moved on to discuss the district bond project. The project manager reported significant progress, noting that construction is ahead of schedule by at least a month. Key areas of work completed include the band and choir rooms, as well as several classrooms. The next phase will focus on shop areas and a computer lab, which requires specific electrical upgrades. The project manager emphasized the importance of completing the parking lot and HVAC work in the gym and other areas during the busy summer months. Overall, the progress has exceeded expectations, with much of the necessary infrastructure already in place.
