Brighton High School honors class of 2025 for academic and extracurricular achievements

Brighton High School's Class of 2025 is set to make waves with an impressive $12 million in scholarship offers, showcasing the academic prowess of its seniors. During a recent government meeting, school leaders celebrated the achievements of the graduating class, highlighting that 60% of students received scholarship offers, with nearly 40% maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Principal Justin Pitcher, who is transitioning to Cottonwood High School, was recognized for his eight years at Brighton, leaving behind a legacy of positive energy and support. His departure marks a significant change for the school community, which has thrived under his leadership.

The meeting also spotlighted the academic accolades of the seniors, including 27 students graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA and 46 achieving a score of 3 or higher on the ACT. The school celebrated its Sterling Scholars, with one student advancing to state finals, and acknowledged the achievements of National Merit Scholars and those earning AP Capstone recognition.

In addition to academic success, 362 seniors earned college credit through concurrent enrollment, saving families approximately $690,000. The commitment to bilingual education was evident, with 47 students earning the seal of biliteracy in multiple languages, including Spanish and Chinese.

As the Class of 2025 prepares for their next steps, 85% plan to attend college, while others are ready to serve in the military. The accomplishments of these students not only reflect their hard work but also the supportive environment fostered at Brighton High.
