Edinburgh High School robotics team wins urban search and rescue competition

The Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District (ECISD) Regular Board Meeting held on May 27, 2025, highlighted the impressive achievements of local students in various extracurricular programs. The meeting celebrated the successes of robotics teams, SkillsUSA participants, and the Future Farmers of America (FFA) organization.

Edinburg High School's robotics team earned first place in the urban search and rescue competition, showcasing the talents of students Galilee Maldonado and Karen Vanegas. Additionally, the team received the FIRST Robotics Competition Imagery Award, honoring their creativity and innovation.
