Hawthorne High School awards Mark Sasso Memorial Scholarships to students Joseph Finch and Thomas Angela Contreras

The HHS Senior Scholarship Night held on May 29, 2025, at Hawthorne High School in New Jersey celebrated the achievements of graduating students and recognized the generous contributions of donors. The event began with heartfelt acknowledgments from the principal, who expressed gratitude for the efforts of Miss Banker Ross, highlighting her significant role in organizing the scholarship program.

A key highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Mark A. Sasso Memorial Scholarship, established in memory of a 1983 Hawthorne High School graduate. The scholarship aims to support local students in their educational endeavors. Anna Marie Sasso, the widow of Mark A. Sasso, attended the event to represent the scholarship. This year, the recipients of the award were Joseph Finch and Thomas Angela Contreras, who were recognized for their achievements and potential.
