Waseca Council passes ordinances and recognizes retiring water plant chief Lou Turo

During the recent Wauseon City Council meeting held on March 17, 2025, significant discussions centered around two key ordinances and the recognition of a long-serving city employee.

The council unanimously approved the second reading of Ordinance 2025-4, which addresses various community services, including those related to the health and fire departments. Councilor Terena, who moved the motion, expressed gratitude for the collaborative effort in crafting the ordinance, highlighting its importance to the community.

In addition to the ordinances, the council recognized the retirement of Lou Turo, a dedicated employee at the water plant, who will conclude his 32 years of service on April 4.
