Titletown gains temporary liquor license extension for Summer Fun Day Showcase

The Village Board of Ashwaubenon convened on June 2, 2025, to discuss several key topics, including a temporary extension of a liquor license for Title Town and the acceptance of a grant for Klipstine Park.

One of the main agenda items was Title Town's request for a temporary premise extension of their Class B beer and liquor license for the Summer Fun Day Showcase, scheduled for June 7, 2025. The extension will allow service from 1:45 PM until 11 PM, covering the asphalt parking lot area, which will be barricaded to manage foot traffic. Unlike previous years, this year's event will not close Ridge Road, keeping activities contained within the Titletown District. The board unanimously approved the extension after a brief discussion.

Another significant topic was the consent to a collateral assignment of a development agreement with Merge Urban Development. This request was made as part of a refinancing process by the developer and their new lender. The board reviewed the proposal and approved it without opposition.

Additionally, the board accepted a $50,000 grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation for the construction of a new band shell at Klipstine Park. This grant, which was applied for in late 2024, will be supplemented by secured matching funds from donations. The board expressed appreciation for the successful grant application and approved the funding unanimously.

The meeting also included discussions on potential amendments to emergency medical services fees and charges, although no decisions were made on this topic during the session. Overall, the meeting highlighted the village's ongoing efforts to support local events and development projects while securing additional funding for community enhancements.
