Du Bois County Commissioners oppose Mid States Corridor Project citing environmental concerns

In a decisive move, the Dubois County Board of Commissioners has officially opposed the controversial Mid States Corridor Project, citing overwhelming public dissent and environmental concerns. During a recent meeting, a resolution was presented that highlighted the findings of multiple studies dating back to the 1980s, all concluding that a new highway through the county is neither economically nor environmentally feasible.
