Navarro Early College High School honors top graduates and standout athletes

The Navarro Early College High School graduation ceremony held on June 2, 2025, celebrated the achievements of its senior class, highlighting academic excellence and community involvement. The event recognized students who excelled in various capacities, including those in the top 2% and 5% of their class, as well as those achieving high honors.

Among the notable accomplishments, 15 seniors completed their high school graduation requirements while also earning an associate's degree from Austin Community College (ACC). This dual achievement underscores the school's commitment to providing students with advanced educational opportunities. Additionally, 13 students were awarded the seal of biliteracy, recognizing their proficiency in both Spanish and English, which reflects the diverse linguistic capabilities of the student body.

The ceremony also honored students who participated in the endorsement plus distinguished level of achievement program, the most rigorous graduation plan available. This program emphasizes not only academic success but also character and community service, as demonstrated by the Valhalla inductees. These students were recognized for their commitment to the school and their exemplary citizenship.

Among the standout students was Crystal Shaw, who was celebrated for her athletic prowess and academic achievements. Maintaining a 3.5 GPA, Shaw excelled in multiple sports, earning accolades such as district MVP in basketball and qualifying for regional championships in track and field. Her accomplishments serve as an inspiration to her peers, showcasing the balance of academic and extracurricular success.
