Samantha has been an active participant in various programs, including Tech Girls, student council, HOSA, and the Student Equity Committee. Her commitment to promoting STEM education for young women through Tech Girls and her role in advocating for inclusive policies on the Student Equity Committee were particularly noted.
Samantha's artistic talents were also recognized, as she was a state finalist in the Texas Visual Arts Competition. In addition to her extracurricular achievements, she has earned an associate's degree in liberal arts and a certification in biotech from Austin Community College. Looking ahead, she plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin to study biology, with a keen interest in history, equality, and microbiology.
In her valedictory address, Samantha reflected on her journey at Navarro, expressing gratitude for the support she received from the Viking community. She described her time at the school as transformative, noting that what began as a one-year journey evolved into a four-year experience filled with growth and connection.
The graduation ceremony not only celebrated individual achievements but also underscored the importance of community support in fostering student success.
