Refugee single mother overcomes hardships to pursue education at Horizonte

The Horizonte Instruction and Training Center in Utah celebrated the graduation of its 2025 class on June 2, 2025, highlighting the transformative journeys of its students. After relocating to the United States in 2017, she discovered Horizonte and enrolled in its adopted program three years ago. Despite facing numerous obstacles, including learning English as a second language while balancing work and motherhood, she persevered. The graduate spoke about the immense pressure she felt, often managing only three hours of sleep each night. Yet, her determination fueled her progress, leading her to find hope and success in her studies.
