During the meeting, Dean Bartarian emphasized the university's commitment to training future educators, noting that Athens State consistently ranks among the top three institutions in Alabama for the number of teacher candidates it prepares each year. The university's flexible program structure allows students to complete their degrees while managing their personal responsibilities, ultimately aiming to enhance the quality of education in the region.
