The Martin County School District celebrated the achievements of the South Fork High School Class of 2025 during a heartfelt commencement ceremony on June 2, 2025. With 450 graduates, including 21 students who completed their high school requirements a year early, the event highlighted the remarkable accomplishments of this diverse group.
A significant highlight of the ceremony was the announcement that seniors earned over $430,000 in local scholarships, with many more students qualifying for the Bright Futures Scholarship as academic results continue to come in. The class demonstrated a strong commitment to academic excellence, with 105 students graduating with GPAs between 3.0 and 3.49, 153 with GPAs between 3.5 and 3.99, and 25 achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Subscribe for Free Beyond academics, the Class of 2025 showcased their dedication to community service, completing over 16,000 hours of volunteer work. Their efforts included raising supplies for animal shelters and families in need, as well as establishing the Bulldog Closet, a school thrift store that supports students while funding scholarships. This year, two deserving seniors received the first Bulldog Closet Scholarships.
The ceremony also celebrated the students' achievements in the arts and athletics. The choir and band received superior ratings at competitions, while the drama department produced successful shows. The school's robotics team advanced to the world championships, and the JROTC program raised significant funds and earned accolades for their discipline.
Athletically, over 55 students were recognized for their achievements, with many earning spots on all-district teams and several moving on to compete at the collegiate level. The Bulldogs are also in contention for the FHSAA class 6A academic team state championship, a title they have won twice in recent years.
As the ceremony concluded, the community recognized the 12 graduates who chose to serve in the military, honoring their commitment to protect the nation. The Class of 2025 leaves a legacy of academic success, community service, and athletic prowess, setting a high standard for future classes at South Fork High School.
