Martin County High School honors top graduates of the class of 2025

The Martin County High School Class of 2025 celebrated their commencement ceremony on June 2, 2025, recognizing the achievements of its graduates and honoring their academic excellence. The event highlighted the hard work of students, faculty, and staff, with special acknowledgments made to the dedicated counselors and graduation coach who contributed to the ceremony's success.

During the ceremony, the top-performing students were recognized for their outstanding academic achievements. The event began with the introduction of the summa cum laude graduates, representing the top 1% of the class. These students, who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance throughout their high school years, included Alexis Gozgelski, Allison Ryan, Kyle Weisner, Mikaela Cristoforo, and Logan Swanner.

Following this, the magna cum laude graduates, who ranked in the top 3% of their class, were honored. This group included Gabriela Benedetti, Caitlin Gary, Cameron Bruno, and several others. The ceremony also recognized students graduating cum laude, who stood for applause as their names were called.

The top ten students in the graduating class were awarded medals of achievement, with Catherine Manahan, the Martin County Teacher of the Year, assisting in the presentation. The highest-ranking students included Alexis Gozgelski, Lisonbee Ryan, and Kyle Weisner, among others.

In addition to celebrating academic success, the ceremony acknowledged the future paths of the graduates. Many students are set to continue their education at prestigious institutions across the country, including schools in Alabama, Louisiana, Michigan, New York, and North Carolina, as well as local universities such as Florida Atlantic and Florida State.

Notably, 29 graduates achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout their high school careers, showcasing the high level of academic excellence within the class. This achievement was celebrated with a standing ovation as each student was recognized.

The commencement ceremony not only marked the end of a significant chapter for the Class of 2025 but also served as a reminder of the dedication and hard work that students, educators, and families have invested in their education.
