Smyrna council approves permits for Sip and Smoke Shop and Cloud Market 2

During the recent Town Council Workshop Meeting held on May 29, 2025, in Smyrna, Tennessee, the council approved several new business permits that are set to enhance the local economy and provide new options for residents.

One of the key approvals was for Sip and Smoke Shop LLC, which received an off-premise permit. The owner confirmed that the shop will employ three staff members, including himself, and will implement strict ID checks for age verification on both alcohol and tobacco sales. The council expressed confidence in the owner’s commitment to responsible sales practices, which include using a point-of-sale system to scan IDs and visually checking them as well.

Another significant approval was granted to Legends Group Tennessee LLC for an on-premise permit. The managing director, Chip Bradley, shared that the group operates multiple restaurants, including the well-known Pancake Pantry. He emphasized the importance of staff training in responsible alcohol service, noting that all servers will undergo a five-hour training course to ensure compliance with state regulations. The council was reassured by the thorough training protocols and the commitment to maintaining high standards of service.

Additionally, Cloud Market 2 LLC, a new business specializing in vapes, beer, and CBD products, also received approval for an off-premise permit. Owner Yousef Habib stated that the store will operate under strict age restrictions, only allowing customers aged 21 and over. He plans to transfer an employee from his existing Murfreesboro location to help establish the new store in Smyrna.
