Road projects advance in Priest Lake and Bay Road areas this week

Road construction projects are ramping up in Bonner County, with multiple initiatives underway as the busy season progresses. During the Monthly Department Head Meeting on June 2, 2025, officials highlighted significant developments in local infrastructure.

The East River paving project is currently in progress, with crews expected to transition to the substation cutoff by tomorrow afternoon. This work is part of a broader effort to enhance road conditions throughout the area. Notably, preparations are underway at Garfield Bay, where rock is being hauled in for a new cement-treated base, with paving anticipated around June 19.

Bay Road is also set to see asphalt work starting this Thursday, marking another step forward in the county's road improvement efforts. Officials expressed optimism about completing these projects efficiently, aiming to minimize disruptions for residents.

In addition to these projects, the meeting addressed the upcoming preconstruction meeting for the Colburn Bridal over Grouse Creek project, scheduled for next week. This initiative is expected to kick off shortly, further contributing to the county's infrastructure upgrades.
