Future Edge Academy unveils transformation plan emphasizing STEAM education and technology

The Nevada State Public Charter School Authority (SPCSA) Board Meeting on May 30, 2025, featured a significant update from Future Edge Charter Academy, highlighting its transformation and commitment to innovative education.

During the meeting, representatives from Future Edge Academy presented their vision to become a global leader in engineering and technology education. They emphasized their mission to reshape education by integrating STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) instruction with digital resources, including coding and artificial intelligence. Future Edge Academy, which rebranded from 100 Academy last summer, has undergone a comprehensive cultural and academic overhaul. The academy has also made aesthetic improvements, such as updated classroom furniture and technology.

Since the relaunch, Future Edge has reported significant growth in student performance. They have adopted rigorous, research-based curricula, including the Wit and Wisdom reading program for grades K-8, which encourages students to engage with full novels. For mathematics, they utilize Eureka Math Squared and iStations, while their science curriculum incorporates STEM scopes and project-based learning.

The meeting underscored the SPCSA's support for Future Edge Academy's initiatives, reflecting a broader commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for students in Nevada. The board expressed appreciation for the academy's leadership and dedication to preparing students for future success.
