Bullhead City Council approves Montana Ridge Estates final plat and multiple city projects

In a pivotal Bullhead City Council meeting on June 3, 2025, the council approved significant developments aimed at enhancing community infrastructure and recreational facilities.

The council unanimously approved the final plat for Montana Ridge Estates, Unit 2, which will add 79 new lots and five parcels to the growing community. Planning Manager Johnny Laurel highlighted that the improvements for this phase are nearly complete, allowing for the recording of the map and the sale of lots to commence shortly. The approval reflects the city's ongoing commitment to residential development in the area.

Another major decision involved the approval of a $151,789 agreement for the installation of athletic fields at the Bullhead City Middle School. This initiative, part of a partnership with the school district, will transform the facility into a community park accessible outside school hours. The project includes a football field, softball field, and playground, enhancing recreational opportunities for residents.

Additionally, the council greenlit a construction contract for a new right turn lane at Mohave Drive, funded by an $8 million state allocation. This project aims to improve traffic safety and flow on Highway 95, with construction expected to begin soon.

The meeting also addressed the purchase of animal housing for the Bullhead City Animal Resource Center, further demonstrating the city's commitment to animal welfare.
