Akins ECHS honors class of 2025 with awards and recognitions

Akins Early College High School celebrated a momentous occasion as it honored the graduating class of 2025 during a recent ceremony. The event, attended by key figures from the Austin Independent School District (AISD), highlighted the achievements of the students and the dedication of the staff who supported them throughout their educational journey.

Superintendent Matthias Segura and Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Schools, Dr. Angel Wilson, were among the AISD leadership present, alongside board members including President Lynn Boswell and Secretary Andrew Gonzalez. The ceremony recognized the hard work of students, with Ava Linelle named valedictorian and Calum Chia as salutatorian, showcasing the academic excellence of the class.

The event also acknowledged the contributions of the Akins vertical team, which includes principals from various feeder schools who played a crucial role in preparing students for graduation.
