Citizens voiced strong concerns at the Brazos County Commissioners Court meeting on June 3, 2025, with a focus on local infrastructure and community safety issues.
Charles Mancuso, a resident, passionately opposed the proposed East Loop project, arguing it would disrupt his family's land and home. "It's the worst idea in the world," Mancuso stated, highlighting the emotional toll of potentially losing his son's new house and the family land where they have planted over a hundred trees. He urged officials to consider alternative routes further east.

He expressed frustration over the lack of immediate action, stating, "Who wants their neighbor's sewage dump on their property for 30 or 45 days?" He documented the situation with over 600 photos, yet felt powerless as authorities struggled to enforce regulations.
In addition to these pressing matters, Mancuso addressed concerns about reckless driving in the area, including vehicles without proper lights and aggressive driving behavior. He also called for better management of loose dogs and excessive trash burning, which he described as a nuisance affecting his quality of life.
Another resident, Steven Pearsall, expressed disappointment over the lack of engagement from officials regarding bond projects, noting that constituents had unanswered questions following a recent presentation.
The meeting underscored the community's urgent need for attention to infrastructure planning and enforcement of local regulations, as residents seek to protect their homes and enhance safety in Brazos County.
