Beloit School District honors retirees and recognizes outstanding staff contributions

As the school year wraps up, the School District of Beloit celebrated the dedication of its staff during a recent board meeting, highlighting the retirement of 18 employees and the service of many others. The meeting, held on June 3, 2025, showcased the district's appreciation for its educators, with a special mention of Jolene Hall, who has devoted 40 years to the district.

The board recognized the contributions of retirees, including Sharon Carr, Jacqueline DeGeorge, and Christine Egan, among others. "There is no way we can possibly express the profound appreciation we have to our employees who have contributed so much of their energy, knowledge, patience, and time to helping our students become fine young adults," stated a board member, emphasizing the impact these educators have had on the community.

In addition to honoring retirees, the meeting also celebrated the achievements of graduating seniors, with approximately 409 students set to graduate. The board expressed excitement for the future of these students, who have built a strong educational foundation within the district.

Upcoming events were also discussed, including a golf outing fundraiser on June 12 and a car show hosted by Beloit Memorial High School Skills USA on August 9. The board encouraged community involvement in these events, reinforcing the importance of support for students.

As the district looks ahead, in-person registration for the next school year will begin on June 9, with staff available to assist families. The meeting concluded with a reminder of the importance of community engagement and collaboration as the district continues to strive for excellence in education.
