Superintendent Ryan Powers honors top students of class of 2025 at recognition ceremony

During a recent meeting of the Bridgewater-Raynham Regional School District, Superintendent Ryan Powers celebrated the academic achievements of the top three students from the graduating class of 2025. This recognition not only highlights individual accomplishments but also reflects the overall educational excellence within the district.

The event featured a special acknowledgment of the students' hard work and dedication. Patrick Chisholm, ranked third in the class, will attend Williams College to study English and psychology. His leadership roles, including vice president of the math team and associate editor of the newspaper club, alongside numerous academic awards, underscore his commitment to both academics and extracurricular activities.

Cole Bridges, the second-ranked student, is set to attend Wake Forest University, where he plans to major in computer science with a minor in finance and economics. His leadership as class president and president of the National Honor Society, combined with his achievements as a three-sport athlete, earned him the Rob Rapp Scholar Athlete Award.

The valedictorian, Gianna Toomey, exemplifies academic excellence as a National Merit Scholarship finalist. She will pursue a degree in astrophysics at Boston University. Gianna's leadership in the math team, involvement in Girls Who Code, and her talents in the arts and dance highlight her multifaceted contributions to the school community.

Superintendent Powers concluded the recognition by encouraging the entire class of 2025 to celebrate their achievements and take pride in their hard work. This acknowledgment of student success not only honors individual accomplishments but also serves as an inspiration for future students in the Bridgewater-Raynham community.
