Manteca announces summer activities including swim lessons and National Skate Day

Manteca City is gearing up for a vibrant summer, with a range of activities and events designed to keep children and families engaged. During the recent city council meeting, the city manager highlighted the utilization of Lincoln Pool, which is offering swim lessons and afternoon swim sessions for kids. Parents are encouraged to explore additional summer activities available through the Parks and Recreation Department.

In addition to pool activities, the Manteca Unified School District (MUSD) is providing free lunches for students, with schedules available online. Families can also take advantage of programs at the Boys and Girls Club and the Thomas Toy Community Center, ensuring that children have plenty of options for summer fun.

A notable event on the horizon is National Skate Day, scheduled for June 21 at the local skate park. This event, supported by Parks and Recreation and Manteca Property Services, invites participants of all ages to join in a skate competition, promising an exciting day for skate enthusiasts.

As the weekend approaches, residents are reminded of the Watermelon Street Fair, with a friendly public service announcement to check sidewalks for heat safety, especially for pets, as temperatures are expected to reach around 95 degrees.
